ABOUT MIDDLE TENNESSEE Middle Tennessee, unofficially the area from the Tennessee River in the West to the Cumberland Plateau is one of the nation's fastest growing regions.   While the landscape is often rolling countryside, hilly and water based properties, large lakes provide boating and fishing recreation in many counties. Middle Tennessee is a half day trip to 8 states that surround her. Residents enjoy four distinct seasons.  Fall is colorful with often brilliant foliage, winters are relatively mild, spring is cool and green, and summers are warm, but retain the greens of spring late into the season.
The Economic Climate...Middle Tennessee, with Nashville as its anchor, has long been noted as the state's center of government and the world's center for Country Music and the arts.  However, Middle Tennessee offers much more.  There is a growing and diverse business climate that now includes a burgeoning auto production industry with Nissan's assembly plant in Rutherford County and the GM Saturn assembly plant in Maury County.  Major national health service providers, printers, and insurance companies comprise the varied business scene. Dell computers, Verizon Wireless have corporate parks just south of Nashville as well.  Excellent public and private education, no state income tax, an overall low property tax rate, favorable work laws, along with Tennessee state government's aggressive pursuit of businesses to relocate to the area, have led many national companies to call the Middle Tennessee home.  Additionally, the regional draw of the Tennessee Titans NFL football team and the Nashville Predators NHL hockey team makes recruiting employees from all parts of the nation easy.

Middle Tennessee boasts some of the friendliest and most active communities in the nation all situated in the rolling hills of Middle Tennessee. From superior schools and health care to an abundance of parks and recreational activities, offers many opportunities for residents and visitors alike.   In addition to its recent ranking as America's 11th Best Golf region by Golf Digest, it has also been named Best Place to Retire (Where to Retire), 38th Family-Friendly City (Reader's Digest), and 57th Best Place to Live (Money Magazine).  Nashville, is the Gateway to the New South...a great place to live, work and enjoy!
